OBJECTIVE
- perinatal asphyxia, i.e. a lack of oxygen and blood circulation before, during or shortly after birth, is one of the most common causes of death among children worldwide
- early identification of neonates with hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy to predict whether the child will benefit from hypothermic therapy
AIM OF THE PROJECT
Development of a diagnostic test system based on a metabolite panel (biomarker) accompanying therapy to improve the success of therapeutic hypothermia in perinatal hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy
TASKS
-> data preparation and analysis
-> statistical and bioinformatic analysis
