Microresonators for point-of-care (PoC) diagnostics of pathogenic bacteria (IGF-Vorhaben Nr.: 20934 N/1)
OBJECTIVE
- whispering gallery mode sensors for diagnostic rapid testing for the detection of very small amounts of analyte
- WGM for the analysis of antibiotic resistance of pathogenic bacteria without previous culture
AIM OF THE PROJECT
Development of microresonators with analysis of whispering gallery modes (WGMs) for the analysis of antibiotic resistance of pathogenic bacteria without previous culture
- use of WGM sensors for adsorption biomarker assays
- extended biomarker spectrum, i.e. ESBL (extended spectrum beta-lactamase) and CPE (Carbapenemase) for the detection of antibiotic resistance of pathogenic bacteria
TASKS
-> data preparation and statistical analysis
-> software for automatic data analysis
